Temple – Juan Eu Konek joined the commemoration of the  125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence Day on 13 June 2023  at Middle Temple Hall,  London, attended by  British dignitaries and ASEAN diplomats, Philippine politicians, those who work with the community, entrepreneurs, lawyers, media and Filipino community leaders.

H.E. Ambassador Teddy Boy Locsin, Mrs Louie Locsin, Consul General Rhen Rodriguez , Minister & Consul Ana Marie Hernando, and Labour Attache Amy Reyes met the guests at the door.

Ambassador Locsin spoke about Philippine history and our country’s  nationhood, including the fact that our revolutionary leaders were Freemasons, and how appropriate it was to celebrate in the grand  Temple.  Gloucester MP and Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Philippines Richard Graham spoke in turn and mentioned his fondness for the  Philippines.

British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils was present at the event.  Makati Mayor Abby Binay-Campos and husband Congressman Luis Jr Campos (Makati, 2nd District) were also seen talking to people.

Buffet food was served, with ice cream from a genuine sorbetes cart from Cafe Romulo, with red and white wine, juice and water.  Others opted to try Philippine owned Don Papa Rum and ARC Archipelago Gin.
