CARSON, CALIFORNIA – Teofilo Coffee Company (TCC), the only Filipino-founded coffee brand in the United States with partnerships with the Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Coffee Board, has opened a new branch in Carson, California.

TCC founder and owner Ron Dizon told TFCN that the expansion aligns with the company’s long-term goal of bringing high-quality, ethically-sourced Filipino coffee to a broader U.S. audience.

“We chose Carson because it’s home to one of the largest Filipino-American communities in California,” said Dizon during the grand opening on March 22. “It’s a perfect location for Teofilo Coffee’s next chapter.”

In the short term, Dizon said TCC aims to build a stronger presence in Filipino-rich areas like Carson and Long Beach, while continuing to support farmers in the Philippines.

“Teofilo Coffee started with a simple goal—to bring Filipino coffee to the forefront,” he said.

“Over the next five years, I see us growing not just with more shops, but with deeper roots—through education, trade, and making Filipino coffee known, respected, and experienced everywhere,” he added.

Long-term, Dizon envisions a sustainable “seed-to-cup” ecosystem where Filipino coffee becomes more than a trend, but a legacy that honors Filipino heritage and uplifts generations of farmers.

What sets TCC apart, according to Dizon, is its direct-trade model. “We work directly with Filipino farmers, ensuring premium quality and fair compensation,” he explained.

In-house roasting also guarantees maximum freshness and authenticity.

Beyond coffee, TCC is involved in mission-driven initiatives to uplift Filipino farmers and communities, including:
